In 2010, Training Grounds launched its leadership basketball league to provide a safe and constructive environment for neighborhood youth to play basketball during summer nights and weekends when they were most susceptible to engaging in negative activities. The league quickly evolved into a peacekeeping and leadership development initiative for youth all around Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County.
